The less-then-serious questions are a sort of personality check. I'm guessing you aren't one for jokes. Or filling out applications fully.

The flavor questions are relevant for personality, to see how well you'd fit into raids with the current group. But if you want to show zero personality, and on gameplay questions assume that your versions of standard are indeed the standard, that's up to you, its your app. Doesn't really help your chances, though.
If you think you are so good you don't have to answer questions to "apply" somewhere good luck. I wouldn't walk into a job interview saying, look man I have my degree from school just tell me if I can have the position or not.
